Following a successful inaugural event last year, The Hobsonville Point Residents Society Winterfest returns with a fantastic array of events throughout the week of 13th - 20th July for the whole family.

To kick off the festivities there's a Matariki puppet show for the kids. On the 14th of July dress up for Bastille Day and watch out for “random acts of Frenchness” in the neighbourhood. Learn about the night sky during the Astronomy evening at Sunderland Lounge from 7pm on Wednesday. For creative types join a Writers Workshop on Thursday at Chichester Cottage and then join our free Movie Night featuring the classic kiwi film "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" at 7.30pm - BYO beanbag to Sunderland Lounge and HPRS will supply the popcorn!

Saturday the 18th is the flagship event, the Sparkle Parade. From 4-5pm head along to Chichester Cottage with your family all dressed up to glow in the dark. The walk will kick off just before sunset along the Coastal Walkway to finish at Catalina Bay by Fabric Cafe. There's live street entertainment Neon Circus, with AKSamba band playing music to walk the route to, and Habitat Hobsonville volunteers to ensure everyone’s safe. Once at Catalina Bay the Catalina Bay Farmers Market will be open and there will be a teacup amusement ride, plus a line up of talented artists performing; including local band The G-strings, solo artist Jess, and the RNZAF Airforce Band.

On Sunday the 19th enjoy a Pink Ribbon breakfast from 10am at Chichester Cottage to end the week in style.
