Perched along the coastal fringe with northerly aspects and stunning views, Blackburn Point is considered one of Hobsonville Point’s premier locations. It’s the latest housing development by family-owned building company Jalcon Homes, designed and built with the modern family in mind.

“Blackburn Point is a really well-considered development,” explains Emma Archer, one of two Hobsonville Point Sales Specialists stationed at the Jalcon Homes show home on Liquidambar Drive.

“A lot of thought went into how the modern family lives today, and how that translates across a range of family sizes, stages and needs.”

Blackburn Point will consist of 79 properties in total. Buyers can choose from three typologies: standalone homes, terraced homes and apartments. Standalone homes range in size from two to four bedrooms. They’re light, spacious and offer plenty of communal space for the family to enjoy. The terraced homes and apartments are described as ‘lock and leave’. Terraces are designed with smaller families and ‘downsizers’ in mind, while the ‘easy-care’ style apartments appeal to first home buyers looking for low maintenance at an affordable price. And no matter the size of the build, every Jalcon home is beautifully finished and architecturally designed.

“We’ve chosen to partner with Stevens Lawson Architects for our Hobsonville Point developments. They have a fantastic reputation backed by numerous awards from the New Zealand Institute of Architects.”

Emma says that while their customer base is ‘across the board’, all of them are keen to live somewhere where there is a strong sense of community. “People want to live in a safe community environment with easy access to amenities.”

Blackburn Point is conveniently located next to the coastal walkway. “Residents can walk or bike the coastal walkway into Catalina Bay where they can shop at Catalina Bay Farmers Market or meet with friends at Little Creatures. And if they want to head into the CBD, they’re just a 35-minute ferry ride away.”

The development is still in its infancy, but Emma says they’ve had a “really positive uptake” since the first homes went to market.

If you’re interested in a Blackburn Point home, Emma recommends you drop by the Jalcon show home at 7 Liquidambar Drive. “We can give you a personalised tour of our show home, and give you up to date information about what we’re doing, when and where the properties are built and answer any questions you may have.”
