Dubbed ‘a collective for the modern professional’, The Hangar is an inspirational co-working hub in Hobsonville Point’s Catalina Bay which allows affordably with others – in fabulous surroundings.
A co-working space is essentially a shared office for freelancers, start-ups or small teams who want to share costs and enjoy a sense of community as they work. If you’re over working by yourself at home, or your team needs some cohesion occasionally, this is definitely for you.
Co-working is fast becoming a global phenomenon. The sense of community in a shared environment tends to foster a strong sense of identity – and that’s got to be good for your business. Co-workers also say that being around people who are focused on their own projects helps to instil a sense of discipline, and shared knowledge without the pressure of competition can be hugely valuable.
Located on the mezzanine floor above the Little Creatures microbrewery in Catalina Bay, The Hangar is just 25m from the water’s edge. The historic building was developed with care by Willis Bond & Co, and designed by the very cool Cheshire Architects. There’s a buzzy plethora of cafes, restaurants and bars at Catalina Bay, as well as the excellent farmer’s market. The ferry frequency has been upped and it’s a scenic 25 mins to the CBD.
Facilities include unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, power, printers, studios, meeting rooms, kitchen and bathroom amenities and of course, the spacious new desks themselves. Functions for up to 50, presentations, workshops and brain-storming sessions work brilliantly here too, with six areas available by the hour or day. AV equipment and catering packages are available.
The monthly membership fee includes all of the above - and right now there are some fantastic special deals on before spring kicks in.
These offers are valid for 6 months if you sign up before September 30, and discounts are available for terms of 12 months or longer.
Check out the space at the open day at The Hangar on Saturday 31st August 10am–2pm.
