Catalina Bay Farmers Market is one of the few Auckland farmers’ markets that is fully covered and one of an even smaller number that are on the waterfront. Market manager, Greg Torchia, says the market may well be unique when it becomes “the only seven day a week genuine Farmers Market in New Zealand.” As a step in that journey, the market has just expanded its hours from three to five days a week. Through the summer months you can also try a completely different experience – a night market. “They’re big family and community events showcasing our regular stallholders and some of Auckland’s finest food trucks,” says Greg. “Between the live music and entertainment for the kids, there’ll be a little bit of everything to enjoy in a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere.”

Night markets are held on the third Thursday of every month during Daylight Saving
